Lucknow: Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adyityath said on Monday that some officials of the Ministry of Health Development and Urban have been found LAX in carrying out their duties in the District Firozabad where dengue and viral fever claimed more than 50 lives, and ordered stringent measures against them, according to their official statement.
Prime minister held a meeting and directing that a team of specialists from the Sanjay Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences Medicine (SGPGI), Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital and King George Medical University, Lucknow sent to Firozabad, Agra and Mathura.
The team will guide local doctors and will oversee treatment of patients there.
A total of 105 patients with dengue fever and viral fever on Sunday admitted to the government medical colleges in Firozabad, where the disease has claimed 51 lives so far.
“In Firozabad, some officers of health and urban development department has been found to be loose in issuing their duties.
It should be checked and action should be initiated against the guilty officers,” said the Chief Minister told the meeting.
The Chief Minister also issued a directive to make arrangements for extra beds, paramedics, medical and testing equipment.
CM Helpline taking feedback from the patient’s family about the facilities available at the hospital, said an official spokesman.

Sangeeta Aneja Firozabad government said on Sunday, “today, 105 new patients of dengue and viral fever while 60 persons received recover.
Up to now, 447 patients were treated in various wards.” Last week, three doctors Firozabad suspended on charges of leeway.
District Judge Chandra Vijay Singh on Thursday to suspend the three doctors with immediate effect on charges of negligence and warned of strict action of government doctors for any omission for those who are sick.
The doctor who was suspended is Girish Srivastava of primary health centers Salai in Firozabad, Ruchi Srivastava, a public health expert, and Saurav.
On Wednesday, chief medical officer Firozabad, Neeta Kulshresth has been issued after a spate of deaths, mostly children, since 18 August because of a viral fever and suspected cases of dengue fever.
The Chief Minister had visited the district on August 30 to take stock of the situation.
