Dengue raised his head again

Ludhiana: Even as a Covid number has fallen in the district, the increasing dengue calculation continues to be a challenge for health authorities because many of these cases are reported from luxury areas in the city.
In relieved, there were no new Chikungunya cases have emerged after the one case was reported in Ludhiana Regency this year after a three-year gap.
Data from the Ministry of Health until Friday night revealed that Ludhiana has so far reported 33 cases of dengue fever, where 17 patients came from the district, while 13 others came from various districts in Punjab and three trade union areas.
In Ludhiana, cases have been reported from areas such as City Models, Jalan Ferozepur, Ashapuri, Civil Line, Rani Jhansi Road, Kailash Chowk, Chander Nagar, Bhamia Road, Janta Nagar and Basti Jodhewal.

Health officials said until August 18, only three cases of malaria were reported from the district in 2021.
Data last year revealed that cases of malaria and dengue fever have witnessed well up and down.
While 83 cases of malaria were reported in the district in 2016, the number fell to 27 of 2019, 7 in 2020.
The Chikungunya case has seen a big decline since 2017.
The district has reported 1,876 Dengue cases in 2018, which fell to 489 in 2018.
But in 2019, there was a sharp increase in the case of dengue fever at 1,509 which was dipped a little last year to 1,355.
The death of dengue fever has decreased from seven in 2015 to only 1 in 2018.
While there were no deaths reported in 2019, two people died in the disease last year.
A Civil Surgeon Dr.
Kiran Ahluwalia said that in addition to city corporate units, the Ministry of Health respectively has 18 teams from two members, including assistant malaria officers (AMO), to control the diseases transmitted through vectors.
He said these teams have visited every sub-division to check the breeding of larvae to examine the spread of such diseases.
Meanwhile, residents say fogging needs to be done in every city area to check the case.
“We don’t see a lot of fogging going on in our area even because it is the responsibility of the city company to do it often .
