Mumbai: The case of spiral-blooded fever is not only in the state, but also the city.
Some hospitals in Mumbai have registered more depreciation of dengue fever and malaria than Covid in the past month.
BMC on Tuesday confirmed 85 cases so far in September.
The numbers do not include alleged hospitalization or cases that do not have a diagnosis that is confirmed by laboratories.
From a dozen cases of dengue fever in June, it rose to 28 in July and 144 in August.
No deaths reported until now.
Since January, 305 cases of dengue fever have been recorded in the city.
In all 2020, 129 cases were reported, and in 2019, 920 cases.
Dr.
Mangala Gomare, BMC executive health worker, said most cases have been reported from E (Mazgaon, Byculla), G South (Dharavi, Dadar, Mahim) and G North (Worli, Prabhadevi, Mahalaxmi) Wards.
It has become endemic in several wards and vector control proves the challenge because of the wide open space, such as train tracks and yards.
The BMC pesticide control team said breed in the house was a problem too.
Bombay Hospital, which has focused on Covid for the past 17 months, seeing more dengue and malaria fever performances for a month.
Dr.
Gautam Bhansali said he had nearly 20 dengue fever patients.
“Most have a typical presentation of the dream of platelets and the number of WBC,” he said.
A good change this year is early detection, Bhansali said, because people rush to test the fear of Covid.
Dr.
Shahid Bharmare, who consulted three hospitals in the center of the center, said they had handled more cases of malaria, dengue fever and respiratory infections rather than Covid recently.
Dr.
Samrat Shah, Internist at Bhatia Hospital, said he saw three to four dengue fever patients every day with 50% needed hospitalization.
“Dengue is more common than malaria.
In addition to fever and joint pain, now it causes high fever with extraordinary weakness and fatigue,” he said.
