Dengue went berserk, Covid Spike has a worried doctor

Nagpur: The high number of beds currently occupied by dengue fever patients in many hospitals in the city.
Dengue patients need at least one week for recovery and doctors worried about the third wave time may have a negative impact on the overall patient management.
Dengue graphics have risen dramatically since mid-July without pausing in cases that have taken epidemic forms.
In the past two weeks, nearly 400 cases have been detected in Nagpur Regency.
With elective operations and regular treatment get steam after a decline in cases, some large hospitals save dengue patients on the waiting list.
This cannot happen with covid patients while the hospital also cannot ask others to empty the bed, a doctor said.
They say government facilities need to be added to manage the two diseases effectively.
GMCH Medical Inspector Dr Avinash Gawande said medical colleges had been packaged.
“We find it difficult to manage regular patients because of viral rushes, trauma, operations, plastic surgery, and dengue fever patients.
Although 95% of dengue fever patients do not need to enter, they need strict monitoring for 5 to 7 days.
At present, we Having more than 50 receiving dengue fever.
We may lack labor and bed if they attack at the same time, “he said.
Dr.
Sadashiv Bhole, a Director of the Seven Star Hospital, said that as far as the hospital administration, it would be very challenging for the arrangement of private health to overcome covid patients with other viral infections and dengue fever at the same time.
Vidarbha Hospitals’ Association (VHA) Convenor Dr.
Anup Marar said that currently all private companies and government managed by specialists are fully occupied handling cases of dengue fever.
“During the 1st and 2nd waves, the hospital bed was largely empty because of the number of non-covid cases.
This can help lead to the imposition of 80% legal blocking the bed.
Considering the current scenario of the bed has been occupied by cases Dengue and the 3rd covid wave that will come, this period will be very important, “he said.
Dr.
Marar added that the government could not force the hospital to expel their bloody fever patients to acknowledge Covid infection.
“Both cannot be varied.
Time has arrived where NMC hospitals that have enough time to get ready to prove their courage independently to overcome Covid attacks as GMC and private hospitals today against blood war,” he said.
