Prayagraj: Sangam City reported 33 new dengue cases on Thursday, took the calculation of dengue patients to 642.
New cases detected from the region, including Sulssarai (1), Mehdauri (2), Rasoolabad (1), Civil Line (3), Kydanj (1), Ashok Nagar (1), Shivkuti (1), Kailashpuri (1), New Jhunsi (1), Myrobad (1), Preetam Nagar (1), Kareli (1), Kareli (1) 2), Jhunsi (1), Oldkatra (1), Salori (1), Teliyarganj (1), Mutthiganj (1), Rajapur (1), Om Gayatrinagar (1), Lala Ki Sariya (1), Bhola Ka Pauwa (1), Bhola (1), Phulpur (1), Chaka (2), Karchna (1), Kaurihar (1) and Koraon (1).
Of the 33 cases detected on Thursday, 27 came from the city area, while the remaining six came from a rustic bag.
Of the 642 cases, 453 cases came from urban bags, while the remaining 189 cases came from the Trans Ganga and Trans-Yamuna region.
However, Malaria District officers (Prayagraj) Ak Singh, said a series of conscious campaigns were being taken in different city pockets, including Rajapur, Teliyarganj, Kydanj, Mutthiganj and a side by side.
Meanwhile DMO, said city pockets more susceptible to this disease.
However, after witnessing a significant surge in dengue cases in the city area, the health department officials on Thursday took drives of intensive anti-larval spraying in many city bags, including civil lines, Rajapur, Om Gayatri Nagar, buying Road, and Area side by side.
Officials also continue to beg the city residents to adopt strict prevention measures to keep the disease transmitted by mosquitoes.
They also ask rural and urban people to use mosquito nets while sleeping.
Anti-larvae spraying fogging is also taken in trans-ganga and Yamuna area too.
