Ludhiana: Two suicides are reported from various parts of the city on Monday.
In the first incident, a 25-year-old married woman reportedly ended himself hanging himself from his home ceiling fan in the Gopal Nagar in the Haibowal area.
The woman, Priya, was married to the owner of the Anoop Singh grocery store five years ago.
The couple has two children from this marriage.
Harpreet Singh Sub-Inspector, investigating the officers of this case, has claimed that the woman was depressed for some time and therefore he took this extreme step.
In another case, a unemployed man, Raj Kumar, 35, from Shakti Nagar in the Tibba area, also hung himself from the ceiling fan at his home on Sunday night.
Raj Kumar went shopping with his wife but with a few minutes, he left his wife on the market, said that he felt unwell.
Raj Kumar returned home and committed suicide.
When his wife came home, he found him dead.
The police have continued with the Inquest Proceedings below part 174 of the criminal code procedure (CRPC) in both cases.
