Coimbatore: Commissioner Corporation City King Gopal Sunkara has relieved Deputy Corporation Commissioner G Vimalraj from posting with the effect of Friday morning he took over as the Deputy Corporation Commissioner on July 14.
Releasing it from position in just two months has collected many eyebrows in the city corporate circle.
The message removes Vimalraj, native namakkal, from posting past Friday morning.
Part of the person said they had not so far found a situation where a deputy commissioner was relieved by the corporate commissioner.
“Usually, the transfer order that mentions new posts of officers are described from the state government.” The command issued by Sunkara said Vimalraj was freed from posts for administrative reasons.
Copies of orders were sent to officials higher than various departments, including the headquarters of the minister and district.
