Ludhiana: Deputy Commissioner Varinder Kumar Sharma on Thursday checked the Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) and Verified Verified Paper Audit Machine (VVPat) stored in the warehouse at the Punjab Agricultural University.
During the examination, Sharma and other officers besides representatives of political parties were also present.
Speaking with representatives of political parties during inspections, deputy commissioners assured them that the district administration was bound to customs to ensure a smooth and disturbed voice process in Ludhiana during the assembly selection of 2022.
He told political parties that complicated arrangements had been put in place in Ludhiana by the government for this purpose.
Sharma said that no stone was missed because it ensured the right warehouse security.
In the warehouse, 3,240 control units, 87 sound units, and 595 VVPat machines have been stored by administration.
