Mumbai: Former Minister of State House Anil Deshmukh has directed police officers (now – dismissed) Sachin aborted 16 bags containing Rs 4.6 Crore in cash to his personal assistant Kundan Shinde on two different occasions outside the Sahyadri house and near Raj Bhavan.
Chargesheet said by the Enforcement Directorate before the Special PMLA court recently.
The court took awareness of Chargesheet.
Waze has raised money from bar owners in the city illegally in Deshmukh’s instructions.
In Chargesheet, Ed named Waze along with Nagpur-based Trust Deshmukh, who runs educational institutions, and his family-controlled company who owns land worth several hundred crores in Navi Mumbai, as a defendant.
Ed is also a ChargesHeted Personal Secretory Deshmukh (Government Officer ranking additional collector) Sanjeev Palande and PA Shinde.
Ed continued his investigation against Deshmukh and his family members.
This will submit additional chargesheets against them after completing the investigation, Chargesheet said.
Deshmukh has avoided ED calls for months, and round reconnaissance has been spent to prevent it from leaving the country.
In his statement which was recorded during the search for Deshmukh’s house in June, he told Ed that he had resigned “Moral Land” after the High Court Bombay directed the CBI to conduct a preliminary investigation.
Chargesheet also stated that Deshmukh first demanded Rs 2 Crore for helping him to stay in service, because many senior politicians in the MVA government were not happy with their recovery after 15 years of suspension and insisted on the transfer.
Then, Deshmukh asked Waze to collect Rs 100 Crore ‘Hafta’ from the bar owner in the city every month for him.
Deshmukh repeated demand after calling DCP Raju Bhujbal and ACP Sanjay Patil at his official residence.
Waze will take care of cash collected in his car.
Quoting Waze’s statement, Chargesheet stated that “In January 2021, Deshmukh called him and was ordered to hand over cash collected to date to Kundan Shinde, who immediately called him and (Sic) asked outside the Sahyadri guest house.
Where he handed over five bags of containing RS 1.6 Crore in Rs 500 denominations.
“Shinde came in Mercedes White Deshmukh to raise money.
It stated that in February, Deshmukh returned Waze, ordered it to submit “Collect cash until the date for Shinde.” After that, Shinde called Waze “near Raj Bhavan’s signal, where he went in Deshmukh’s official vehicle and collected 11 bags containing Rs 3 Crore.” Deshmukh will often call Waze.
Chargesheet said, “It was revealed that Deshmukh was based on the previous position as Minister at home …
had received an amount of 4.70 crore, collected from the owner of the orchestra bar for the function of the bar and bribery money was used by him through his son Hrishikesh Deshmukh for giving money Cash to a paper company based in Delhi and after the same layering was directed to Shri Sai Shikshan Sanshtha Trust on Garb of Donation.
“Trust is controlled by Desehmukh and his family.
Chargesheet stated that trust had been used to park illegal money since 2013.
The Deshmukh family has “regulates the infusion of illegal satisfaction received by the collection of money from the owner of the orchestra bar and park it together in a trust account on Garb donations.” In the relevant period, Shinde is one member Trust, Ed said.
