Mumbai: Enforcement Directorate (Ed) on Monday filed a complaint with the prosecution (the equivalent of Chargesheet) against two former aides Maharashtra home minister and NCP leader Anil Deshmukh in connection with a money laundering case here.
Chargesheet was submitted before the Special Court was assigned to hear matters relating to the prevention of money laundering laws against the Private Secretary of Deshmukh Sanjeev Palande and Kundan Shinde’s personal assistant.
The duo was arrested in this case by ED in June this year and is currently in prison.
Ed had launched the probe against Deshmukh and his colleagues after the CBI filed brilliantly against senior NCP leaders on April 21 on charges of corruption and abuse of official positions.
Ed Chargesheet against Palande and Shinde delivered along with the documentary evidence.
Advocate Shinde Ejaz Khan said on Monday that they had not received a chargesheet copy.
“Shinde has undergone Judicial custody since July 6 but has not been questioned.
He has just been detained.
Today a Chargesheet has been submitted,” Khan said.
Deshmukh was called by Ed five times in the past to be questioned but he failed to appear.
ED cases is that when serving as Minister of Home State, Deshmukh abusing his official position and through the Assistant Police Inspector Sachin Waze, who have been dismissed from service after catching bombs ‘Antilia’ and Mansukh Murder Case Hiran, collect Rs 4.70.
