‘Deshmukh gave an unofficial list for police posts’

Mumbai: Former Minister of State House Anil Deshmukh is used to prepare “unofficial lists” police officers for profitable posts that he will submit to the additional Chief Sechanary (ACS Home) and Police Commissioner Mumbai for implementation, said the Directorate of Enforcement (ED) Chargesheet was submitted against Deshmukh, his son Hrishikesh and Salil, and 9 others recently.
Ed is investigating if there is a “financial implication and money collection instead of a profitable transfer and post”.
Post about 12 police officers, including IPS, in the state under the lens.
Former ACS Home Sitaram Kunte (who retired as Head of Secretary) and former Police Commissioner Mumbai Param Bir Singh has admitted in their statement on Ed that they will receive “unofficial list” from Deshmukh.
Deshmukh told Ed, he had received a list like that only from a cabinet minister, who would, in turn, got it from MLC / MLC his party.
Kunte told Ed that he would get an unofficial list of Deshmukh and notify all members of the Police Stance (PEB) who made decisions about transfers, posts.
He said that “most suggestions provided by Deshmukh in the form of an unofficial list used to be included in the final order”.
Singh said that he got four lists like that with Dishmukh’s handwriting on them.
Deshmukh will call him to the Sahyadri guest house, where he and other cabinet ministers are used to bring their own separate list to post orders for Mumbai.
In July 2020, Singh had issued orders for transfers and 10 DCPS posts.
Unhappy, Deshmukh and Minister of Transportation Anil Paratab had got an order upside down.
In his statement to ED, police officers who were dismissed Sachin Waze said that he knew that Rs 40 Crore had been collected from police officers registered in the command and the money was equally divided between Deshmukh through his personal secretary Sanjeev Palande and Parab through Bajrang Kharmate (representative RTO).
Singh told the Ed that he had issued a transfer order after the process because without taking instructions from each political party.
Immediately after, he got a message WhatsApp from Kunte, asked him to cancel it.
After that, Singh, along with Deshmukh and other cabinet ministers, completed a new transfer list.
Orders are issued by PEB to show that the legal process has been followed.
Ed also investigated money laundering cases against Deshmukh for allegedly asked the police to collect Rs 100 Crore a month from the bar owner.
