Mumbai: Special Holiday Court on Saturday rejected the request of the enforcement directorate for nine days of custody of the former minister of country house captured by Anil Deshmukh (72) in the case of money laundering.
The trial instead sent Deshmukh, was arrested on Tuesday, for juice custody for 14 days.
Ed was to face the Sachin police who were dismissed with the evidence collected during Deshmukh’s interrogation.
Looking for further custody, Ed said there were 27 companies directly or indirectly controlled by Desthmukh’s family members and had been used for sick infusion.
Also said the money had flown from his personal account of his son Hrishikesh and Salil Deshmukh and other family members to these companies.
“Even Defendant Anil Deshmukh has transacted with several companies and cannot explain the reason clearly shows the intention behind his rejection …,” said Ed.
Ed surrendered that he dodged and gave an unclear answer during his question for the last four days he was in their detention.
Deshmukh told the edge of the money received by the trust of a Hawala operator based in Delhi was a loan.
