Mumbai: Special PMLA Court on Monday sent former Interior Minister Anil Deshmukh (72) for justice custody until November 29 in money laundering.
Deshmukh was arrested on 2.
November after the defense moved the request to find home food for Deshmukh, the court said that the prison had a rule and told him to eat prison foods for now.
“If there are complaints, then I will consider,” said the court.
It also shows that the prison manual has provisions about this problem.
However, it allows Plea Deshmukh to continue his medicine and have a bed in prison.
“As far as regarding home food prayers, let the defendant be accepted in prison.
The appropriate order will be continued later depending on the complaint in the light of health problems accused,” added the court.
The court also said that home food could also cause the acidity of Deshmukh after his lawyer registered his illness.
