Mumbai: A few hours after the midnight arrest of the former Minister of State House Anil Deshmukh (72), the enforcement directorate produced it in the presence of a special vacation court on Tuesday, stating that he was the key person in the case of RS 100 crore money laundering and agency needed to investigate “Foreign corner” in this case besides building a trail of money.

Deshmukh, wearing a white pajama, produced in court at 12:30 a.m.
Opposing Dishmukh prisoners, his lawyer Vikram Choudhari told the court his shoulder client was dislocated and he needed continuous support.
He said Deshmukh had recovered from Covid in February, having heart disease and suffered hypertension.
The court allowed his request for home food and medicines as long as he was detained, Nikam Aniket Advocate.
They denied Deshmukh did not work with investigations.
Decreasing Ed said that with the help of closing colleagues, the Deshmukh family indirectly controlled and managed business activities in various companies and washing money by creating complex transaction networks.
Ed quoted three examples to explain the modus of its operandi to convert countless cash that he received through illegal ways to be a legitimate money through a suspicious company.
“These entities emerged vehicles for conversion for cash to check through this Beni transaction,” said the Disposal Ed delivered and debated by ASG Anil Singh.
Ed looked for detainees of 14 days of Deshmukh.
In one example, Ed quoted Samit Isaacs’s statement, which was a director along with the son of Deshmukh Hrishikesh in 3 companies.
Ed accused that they had bought the company, Greenland Buildspace Pvt Ltd, with the underlying asset value of Rs 4.75 Crore only for RS 3.75 lakh from one Sanjay Bondawar.
Ed said it should be noted that the company’s balance sheet did not have the underlying obligation at that time.
Ed investigation found payment for the Worli flats owned by Deshmukh on behalf of Aarti’s wife was made entirely by cash in 2004, but the selling deed was carried out on February 2020 when she was still handling.
Furthermore, Ed who filed a family of Deshmukh acquired 50% ownership of Port Premier Pvt Ltd including its assets, land and shops, total book value around Rs 5.34 Crore by only paying Rs 17.95 lakh, which is also after a substantial gap.
These properties were temporarily attached in July 2021 under the PMLA Law.
A source said the current market value of land owned by companies in Uran worth several hundred crores.
Ed accused that during his question on Monday, Deshmukh refused to work together and did not provide the required details, which caused his arrest.
Ed stated that analysis of various entity accounts that were allegedly used for the purpose of infusion of Dishmuk money that was not interested in revealing money flowing from companies that were indirectly controlled by family members to the company and vice versa.
Ed was investigating the money laundering case based on CBI fir where the former Police Commissioner Mumbai Param Singh accused that the Minister of State (Deshmukh) had asked now – dismissed Waze API Sachin to collect Rs 100 Crore from bar owners every month.
Detention Ed said Deshmukh, based on his position as a Minister of Home Affairs, received Rs 4.7 Crore, collected from the owner and manager of the orchestra bar during the pandemic.
Deshmukh’s Ca, Sudhir Baheti, told Ed He has introduced a Hawala operator based in Delhi to Hrishikesh.
Rs 4.18 Crore (at various stages) received by the trust of a paper company from Hawala operator in Garb Donation.
Defense said those who made the allegations themselves involved in many cases and one person was not found.
Ed said despite calling him several times, Deshmukh never appeared.
