Nagpur: Dr.
Vasantrio Deshpande Smruti Sangeet Samaroh, a flagship music festival held by the South Central Zone Cultural Center (SCZCC), will be forwarded on the Youtube platform this year due to restrictions on Covid-19 at Live Cultural and Theater events in Maharashtra.
Last year, this festival was broadcast live on Facebook.
This center has launched its YouTube channel now.
“This festival is an old tradition of three decades and we have decided to continue.
Despite the full kuncian last year, we managed to hold the 29th edition.
This year, we hope to hold at least several events on stage.
When restrictions are still on, Fest will be Online again, “said Dr.
Deepak Khirwadkar, Director of SCZCC.
The three-day music festival is held around 30 July every year to coincide with the birthday of the death of the legendary classic vocalist PT Vasantrao Deshpande.
This year, it will begin on July 30 and ending on August 1 day will mark the conclusion of the death of the centenary of Local Tilak.
“We have dedicated the 30th edition of the festival to Local Life and Local Work.
On August 1, the music program on Marathi Natya Sangeet will be held.
The event calendar has a good blend of artists from all parts of the country,” said Dr.
Khirwadkar.
