While Twitter has not fully complied with its new rules in India and hesitant to follow all government instructions, the Indian Twitter alternative Koo in its compliance report claims that “has become the first Indian social media platform that makes it (The Report) available to the public” and follow the rules the new one.
Koo also said that it will publish its compliance reports every month.
After saying that, Koo did not disclose in his press statement about what type of content reported and what the nature of the content was removed from the platform.
Also, the obedience section on its website does not provide details about the deleted content.
In June 2021, Koo claimed that 5,502 content was reported by the community and had removed 1,253 of them “while other actions were taken to the rest – 4,249”.
“Koo took steps to proactively moderate 54,235 koos, which 2.2% (1.996) was removed while other actions were taken to the rest – 52,239.” Other actions include overlay, blur, ignore, warn, etc., Koos that doesn’t comply with Indonesian Government Guidelines, “he said in a statement to the media.
