Noida: Residents of around 79 Noida Village demanded the same natural gas connection (PNG) as in the housing sector that replaces the LPG cylinder which is currently provided in all regional rural areas.
At a meeting with IGL officials in the village of Rohustapur Sector 132 on Monday, the population association of the Noida Village (Novra) put forward their demands, quoting higher LPG prices and cylinders damaged versus PNG connections.
Of the 81 villages in Noida, only Shahpur in sector 128 and Bishanpura in the 58 sector which has a PNG gas connection.
“79 villages left from Noida have a LPG cylinder system.
These are mostly supplied or damaged by gas taken from them and filled into smaller cylinders by suppliers and sold in black in the open market,” said Ranjan Tomar, President Novra.
“Therefore, we have asked MLA Pankaj Singh to schedule meetings with noida authority about this.” While memorandum was given to MLA Singh demanding the same facilities to all the population of Noida in urban and rural areas, on Monday, Senior IGL officials visited Rohustapur to move forward.
