Saint Lucia: FAF DU PLESSIS recovery from the concussion takes longer than he expected and former South African captain desperately to return to action with the Caribbean Premier League after a three-month forced break.
Du Plessis will lead the Saint Lucia Kings franchise in the CPL which starts on Thursday.
The South African veteran, which has announced a retirement of the test, has suffered a concussion during the Pakistani Super League in June.
He must return to hundreds that ended earlier this month but could not recover full fitness for the inaugural event in England.

It’s been a long time for me, 3 months now where I can’t play, so I really want to go there and do what I like again.
I thought I would recover in a month but It took three times, “he said at the Jersey Launch.
Saint Lucia Kings is owned by a consortium that has an IPL Punjab Kings franchise.
“I am very happy to be with a new franchise with a new identity and a new team.
People really want to go.
The competition will be very intense in terms of the game.
All in all very excited about the next three weeks ahead,” added Du Plessis.
