Despite the drastic drop in the Covid case, Dakshina Kannada is under tight vigil

Mangaluru: Despite falling dramatically in the number of Daily Covid-19 cases, the level of participants and active Kaseload, the Dakshina Kannada district has decided not to let the guard down immediately.
Everyday cases in the district have been reduced drastically and the district did not record more than 100 new cases in the past week.
Similarly, the level of weekly testing is also below 1%, but the Ministry of Health has not yet reduced supervision.

“We continue our supervision by concentrating on the area around every positive case.
Furthermore, more emphasis is to educational institutions including schools that have been reopened now,” he said.
Between September 27 and October 3, the district recorded a weekly test level of 0.9% weekly.
While the district conducted 64,817 RT-PCR tests in one week, 610 positive cases were reported.
Prohibbing Mangaluru’s Taluk, cases in other taluks less than 100.
While the weekly test level is 1.3% in Mangaluru and 1.2% in beltangady, all other talukads show less than 1% and only 0.2% in SULLI .
Also, Mangaluru Taluk recorded 372 cases in last week, Belthangady -74, Bantwal-70, Putture-34 and only 13 cases reported in Sullia Taluk.
The district has also recorded 47 positive cases, which are patients from other districts, in the previous week, he said.
