MUMBAI: Devendra Fadnavis, the chief of resistance at the Maharashtra assembly, fulfilled NCP chief Sharad Pawar in the latter’s house here on Monday morning.
It was a claims interview, BJP leader Fadnavis tweeted following his interaction by Pawar (80), who has stopped his actions after recovering from a surgery.
Pawar, whose party shares power with the Shiv Sena and NCP in Maharashtra, recently experienced a gall bladder operation after which he had been informed rest.
The interview comes against the background of the Supreme Court’s decision to hit the Maharashtra law forbidding quota to Marathas in admissions and administration projects.
The BJP has proposed to hold a demonstration on June 5 across the state administration’s management of the Maratha statute dilemma.
Fadnavis, the former chief minister of Maharashtra, is also critical of this Uddhav Thackeray-led state authorities over its handling of this Covid-19 pandemic.
