New Delhi: The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) on Monday allows domestic passengers to operate at 65 percent with direct effects.
The government must reduce airline capacity in May amid the increase in Covid cases that have been unprecedented in this country.
Given the second covid wave in India, the decline in passenger traffic and load factors, its capacity is limited to 50 percent, not 80 percent permeated previously.
This close has now increased to 65 percent with the effect of July 5.
The order must remain valid until 31 July or until further orders, which are early.
