Kanpur: Two senior staff members from PAN Masala firm were taken by the officer team from the Directorate General of Goods and Service Tax Intelligence (DGGI), Ahmedabad to be questioned in the case of tax evasion here on Sunday.
The GST intelligence probe against PAN Masala’s firm has occurred since the last week of December, when the factory, in addition to the transporter building in Kanpur, and the Kannauj premise of the Piyush Jain Perfume trader is raided.
According to sources, the DGGI team, Ahmedabad has invaded the premise of the Masala PAN firm in the city on Sunday morning.
The team reached the company’s warehouse office in Nagar transportation.
Two senior staff members, who maintained company operations, were arrested, said source.
“Attails are taken on the basis of documents found in the attack on December 22 from the transporter place,” said the source further and added, “One of the staff is said to be a link and has the responsibility to manage things with the department related to PAN Masala and people Other influential people.
He was also said to remove all obstacles related to business, while other officials handle all jobs in connection with factory functions.
Both have been taken to unexpact destinations and their questions still occur.
“The source in DGGI states that the owner of the PAN firm Masala will also be asked immediately.
The owner of the company sits in Delhi and the company’s office is also located in Delhi.
“Preparations are also made to take action against other directors of the PAN Masala firm,” added further source.
It was said that the PAN Masala Group Empire was around Rs 50,000 Crores.
Apart from Pan Masala, this group also has investments in the real estate and hospitality sectors.
