Vadodara: Java, The Female Dobermann, and Rupi Dog Rural Police Vadodara was praised by Director General of Police Gujarat Ashish Bhatia on Thursday for the main role played by dogs in solving cases of police gang-cum-murdered stations.
Handler Dobermann Haresh Mohaniya was given a certificate in Gandhinagar by Bhatia to appreciate the training given to Java which resulted in the arrest of six accused.
On August 17, Java, after sniffing Dupatta and bottles near the victim’s body, had led the researchers to be accused of about two kilometers in 20 minutes.
The 38-year-old woman was raped and then killed by six workers on the outskirts of Dethan Village from Karjan Taluka.
This is the third murder case in just 45 days where Java has helped the police get a breakthrough.
