Ranchi: The Jharkhand High Court has directed the Central Investigation Bureau (CBI) to conduct an investigation from an angle of injury caused by the former Judge Dhanbad Uttam Anand.
The Head of the Chief Justice Division Dr.
Ravi Rajan and Justice Sujit Narayan Prasad while hearing the petition here on Thursday observed that the dead judge suffered an injury on the right side of his head in the temple that had been strengthened in the post mortem report.
Such an injury cannot be caused by an automatic rickshaw that has hit the judge.
On the contrary, the bench observed that the co-passenger sitting on the automatic rickshaw might have used something to hit the judge which caused him to fall on the road on his left side.
Anand’s head injury cannot be caused by automatic rickshaw rearview mirror, said the judge while hearing the online process.
They also directed the secretary of the house and the Director of the Forensic Science Laboratory to appear in this matter.
The court also lamented the lack of resources in the FSL.
The court while undergoing an investigation report submitted by the CBI said that the investigation at the point of the injury must be carried out by the body.
This case will now be heard on August 27.
The Supreme Court also monitors the investigation into this case.
The death of Uttam Anand caught on CCTV cameras and recording has become a viral that shows it runs near Randhir Verma Chowk, a luxurious area in Dhanbad on July 28 at 5 am.
The judge was beaten by an autorickshaw with a passenger sitting in front with the driver.
Motorcyclists were also shown behind the autorickshaw who saw injured judges falling on the ground.
