Nagpur: Dharampeth and Laxmi Nagar Zone are below the Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) limit (NMC) and rural nagpur – consisting of peri-urban areas – is a place that reports most of Covid cases in the district.
Nagpur countryside, which includes small villages on the outskirts of the city, has almost 25% of cases among 13 tehsil blocks.
This was followed by Kampee and Hingna Tehsil.
Kampee has become a hotspot during the first wave too.
Among the more than 10,000 cases recorded between 1 and 14 January in the city, Dharampeth Zone has reported the highest at 2,041 cases, followed by the Laxminagar zone at 1,934 and the Mangalwari zone at 1,615.
Zona Satranjipura, which is a hotspot during the first wave, has recorded a few cases in 176 so far in two weeks in the midst of the emergence of the third wave.
Lakadganj and Satranjipura are the only zone where Daily Caseload is under 60.
All other zones now report cases above 100 every day.
In the period June to December when the city witnessed fewer cases, sporadic cases were reported from luxury areas.
The initial case also came from the Laxmi Nagar Zone, Dhantoli and Dharampeth before spreading to other parts.
Most international leaflets belong to these places.
Many still cannot be traced for days after their arrival, and some were found to have gone to other cities.
Many of the same family and those who have a history of travel recently are among those who test positive.
Many Covid patients also attended public functions and a large wedding ceremony.
Although data relating to a number of positively vaccinated people testing is in processing, doctors have found that patients are partially or fully vaccinated.
Monthly analysis until November last year showed that nearly 70% of Covid patients experienced a breakthrough infection.
This infection was detected during the phase when the new Omicron variant did not appear.
In fact, the district has Delta as the dominant variant until the end of December.
Sequencing genomes by the National Environment The Engineering Research Institute (Neer) has shown that Omicron is now the dominant variant among covid nagpur patients.
Not many of whom have required hospitalization or experience a decrease in oxygen saturation.
This disease is mild among people who are fully vaccinated, according to the doctor.
Also, the number of reinfection cases that arise during the third wave are said to be much higher than it during the second wave.
