Lucknow / New Delhi: BJP on Wednesday called Minister of Education Dharmendra Pradhan as a poll responsible for Uttar Pradesh in the signal to non-Yadav OBC in the state.
The leading OBC leader, Pradhan has held the responsibility of the poll at Bihar before and is familiar with the equation of the caste and the faction above.
Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur was named the co-incharge.
Pradhan’s appointment trained the spotlight on BJP’s efforts to consolidate OBC’s voice, which accounted for more than 42% of the total population of voting in the state.

Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri and Meenakshi Lekhi have been crowned co-incharges for Punjab polls along with MP Vinod Chavda.
Except Punjab, BJP has power in four other pollbound countries -uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Goa and Manipur.
