Gurgaon: Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (DHBVN) has already recorded a fall in Aggregate Transmission and Commercial (AT&C) declines this season.
Even the discom’s AT&C reduction was 16.5percent this past year, which were come down to 13.63 percent.
The DHBVN has blamed the decrease in losses into the distinctive drives which were introduced by the company to attract AT&C losses to some minimum amount, below which all of the customers will be billed based on their real intake.
Consumers have been made conscious of paying their dues, for instance, present and outstanding invoice figures, the department stated.
“The energy bill loopholes of government branches had been compensated and a campaign has been started to cut back connections of customers who didn’t pay dues,” that a DHBVN spokesperson stated.
Previously, the department had recognized power theft among the significant motives behind line declines.
It had established campaigns through specific teams to capture such thefts.
Because of this, 48,729 instances of power theft were captured during the fiscal year 2020-21, because of that a fine of Rs 163 crore has been enforced — almost double of the prior calendar year.
“On the other hand, electricity efficiency was enhanced by suppressing power theft.
On the flip side, line declines also have reduced.
It’s given encouraging results at the interest of this company and it’s a major accomplishment for DHBVN to deliver AT&C reduction to 13.63 percent,” the spokesperson added.
