New Delhi: Destroying all reports on the planned new Diet Team India, BCCI Treasurer Arun Dhumal said on Tuesday that the Board had not issued the direction to the players or support staff, and they were free to eat according to their choice.
Previous reports have claimed the National Cricket Board (BCCI) has forbidden beef and pigs in any form in the new Indian team diet regime.
It was also reported that the players were only allowed to consume meat only in the form of ‘halal’.
However, BCCI Treasurer has denied all reports, by saying that what is called a diet plan has never been discussed and will not be upheld.

“BCCI has not provided direction to any team or staff of any team about what to eat and what is not eaten.
All of these rumors are unfounded,” said Dhumal to Ivers.
“This diet plan has never been discussed and will not be enforced.
The Board does not advise anyone about what to eat and what is not eaten.
They are free to choose their own food,” he added.
The previously reported BCCI decision had triggered a debate between netizens.
While many criticize the board’s steps, a little are also happy.
Hashtag “#bcci_promotes_halal” is on the top trend list on Twitter and people continue to express their opinions.
Clarification of BCCI Treasurer can now resolve this problem.
