Dibrugarh: Jatiya Vidyalaya School in Chabua in the Dibrugarh District has been closed for a week by the district government after four teachers and 2 students found covid-positive.
The School Inspector Dibrugarh District, Deepika Choudhury, on Saturday said the antigen test was quickly carried out among all students and school teachers after a school teacher was found covid-positive two days ago.
During the test, three more teachers and two students were found positive.
He added one student from the government of government and MP Girls, Dibrugarh, and Rameshwar HS, Dibrugarh, had tested postive for Covid-19.
“Because there are some Covid-19 cases in Jatiya Vidyalaya, Chabua, we decided to turn off school for one week in accordance with Covid-19 guidelines and protocols.
After one week, the school will be reopened after the approval of the Deputy Commissioner.
During testing, one case -Masing Covid-19 was detected at the HS School and MP Girls government and Rameshwar HS School.
Because there is only one case in both schools, we have allowed them to function after fully cleaning the school place.
