Kolkata: Head of West Bengal thought Mamata Banerjee had written to PM Narendra Modi who opposed the amendment proposed to rule 6 rules of IAS (cadre), in 1954, which would enable the center to post central officers working in the state for central deputation.
The proposed amendment asks for countries to nominate a number of IAS officers who have been decided to reserve central deputation and enable the center to post this officer, even override the country’s objections.
He wrote: “By insisting on officers to be available for trusteers through the proposed amendment, not only state administration is affected but it will also be impossible to assess and plan the administration of a country that forms a part of the part of the reserve of central deputation, full of representative uncertainty Suddenly they were in the middle …
the amendment proposed to the rules of the cadre would legalize the unreasonable action.
“The letter, written by CM on January 13, was accessed by TOI on Tuesday.
