Mumbai: Diesel levels in Thane and Navi Mumbai have violated the RS 100-Mark and retail at the highest price of Rs 100.05 per liter at the pump on Friday morning.
Diesel prices in Mumbai also hiking to Rs 99.92 per liter.
“There are dice between the brotherhood of Indian road transportation of the increase in diesel prices and will be discussed heated in a meeting of our government council which will soon be scheduled for October 11,” said Bal Malkit Singh of all Indian motorcycle transportation congresses.
He further said, “Constant Hikes in Diesel prices strongly destroys the life of the driver of poor trucks who cannot do their operations economically.
Diesel now is around 75% of operating costs.
This transportation does not increase proportionally because they are not cost-based and government is correcting the minimum cost per kilometer according to the law.
“” We have written to the government several times to help this sector survive and support where around 20 crore people are dependent but all our requests have fallen on deaf ears, “Transporter said.
