Nagpur: Until three years ago, Ajay, Vijay and Anita (name changed) would avoid moving houses in Kamtha, a remote village in the Gondia district.
While Ajay and Vijay are quite formidable to pursue higher education, Anita cannot resist shame and give up after HSC.
Their parents also could not find matches that were suitable for Ajay and Anita when they approached the age of marriage.
Three of these siblings, now between 29 and 20 years old, have rare genetic disorders of Dentinogenesis Imperfecta – the absence of dental crown parts – which are the cause of normal life that are difficult to understand.
Poor financial conditions – Father becomes a worker who produces slightly more than RS100 a day – and the reluctance of some doctors has delayed their care for 5 years, because it can begin at the age of 15 years.
In the end, the family was referred to Maxillofacial Surgery Dr.
Vipin Dehue, who took the challenge and began the treatment of fixing 28 artificial gears and 18 gear implants in each of them.
“Dental implant care must start from the age of 15 when mandibula and maxilla has developed,” said Dr.
Dehue, Director of Apple Dental Clinic, facial surgery and implant center.
Full mouth rehabilitation – Bring a pleasant smile back to family members with Ajay and Anita will get married while Vijay has now completed its technique.
Ajay, the oldest who is a government engineer, said before Dr.
Dehane, a dentist tried but could not repair our teeth.
“We face a big problem from finding the right doctor to regulate the cost of treatment.
My father died in 2019 while we were still undergoing treatment.
After I got a job in 2016, the first thing we decided was to be treated.
We started with our sister first , “he said.
Gradually, Ajay also received a dental implant and artificial teeth followed by the youngest Vijay, which had just finished.
Ajay said he had to take advantage of the RS18LAKH bank loan to meet the costs of care, travel and accommodation in Nagpur between 2018 and 2021.
In addition to treatment, Ajay also ensured the youngest younger sister and their sister, normal, continued.
Their mother is a housewife.
Dr.
Dehane said the three siblings only had the roots while the crown (teeth) lost from the mandibular and the upper jaw.
“The youngest brother has a large cyst in the anterior mandibular,” he said.
Dr.
Dehane said rarely that three siblings in the family have severe imperfecta dentinogenesis.
Regarding high costs, teeth surgeons added, “We put OSEM implants, one of the most suitable in this case, under the CSR initiative.
Considering the economic status of the patient, we get implants with subsidized rates,” he said.
Ajay said in 2017-end, many doctors refused to treat them in Nagpur.
“To put implants, enough bone density is not available.
Their maxilla is inside and mandibular.
This condition is contrary to normal placement.
This is called the complicated class III malocclusion of this case,” said Dr.
Dehane.
