New Delhi: With most sectors shifting to a hybrid work culture because of the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has taken the main initiative towards making it functions by implementing project monitoring software known as an integrated software monitoring project (IPMS) for the phase-IV corridor.
“Through IPMS, all stages of project planning and implementation, directly from the tender stage for income operations from each corridor, will be monitored, including the problem of the availability of work front, such as land availability, tree transplantation and shift status service and design,” Anuj Dayal, executive director (Communication company), DMRC, said.
He added that the master corridor construction schedule was prepared and uploaded on the HDI.
IPM developed accidentally, Dayal is claimed, has a software integration feature related to other construction for project planning and 3D BIM (three-dimensional building information modeling), apart from cellular applications where actual progress based on real time can be uploaded to the IPMS.
This software will monitor the progress of the work of all scientific disciplines – civil, electricity and mechanics, signaling and telecommunications – and project progress can be seen in the dashboard and on 3D models.
“This software was launched in April this year and is being used to monitor the progress of the contract package, which is given and ongoing,” Dayal said.
