Mumbai: Legendary actor late Dilip Kumar will be given a country funeral.
Minister of Maharashtra Minister Uddhav Thackeray has issued instructions on the same thing.
The remaining mortal Dilip Kumar will be placed to rest in Mumbai Juhu Kabristan tonight.
Sharing more details about the last ritual, spokesman for Dilip Kumar Faisal Farooqui took to the first Twitter account and wrote, “Burial today at 5 pm..juhu Qabrastan in Santacruz Mumbai.” Dilip Kumar inhaled the last Wednesday morning at PD Hinduja Mumbai Hospital.
He was accepted on June 30 after he complained of shortness of breath.
Known as the King’s tragedy, Kumar’s dilip career stretched for six decades.
He acted more than 65 films in his career and was known for his iconic role in films such as ‘Devdas’ (1955), ‘Naya Recycling’ (1957), ‘Mughal-e-azam’ (1960), ‘Gangga Jamuna’ (1961 ), ‘Kranti’ (1981), and ‘karma’ (1986).
His last film was ‘Qila’, which was released in 1998.
The Evergreen icon now survives by wife and veteran actor Saira Banu.
