Abu Dhabi: This will be the assignment of Herculean for them but Kolkata Knight Riders Batsman Dinesh Karthik believes that his party can win six of their remaining seven matches and qualify for their IPL playoffs.
The former champion twice did not have a great range in the first phase of IPL 2021 because they could manage only a win from seven matches.
They languish at the bottom of the table because the IPL is set to continue in the UAE in a few days from now.
“We want to win six of the seven matches (to qualify).
Simple like that.
As a team that we will do.
Take one match at any time but try and win six matches,” Karthik to the KKR website.
The side of the Morgan-LED eoin will continue their IPL 2021 campaign against the Bangalore Royal Challengers on September 20.
The 2020 edition of the IPL saw KKR losing four places going on fourth which was not too healthy.
“Last year when we were in the UAE, we missed it (qualifying for the playoffs) by the mustache.
We won as many matches as possible with the last team but still missed it with a mustache.

Karthik, who returned with KKR after a successful duty as a commentator in the UK, insisted that the team would focus on positive things and continue to play aggressive cricket.
