Ranchi: Indigo leading domestic carrier on Saturday started the first direct flight to connect Ranchi with Pune.
Flight, 6E-113, is scheduled for every day from Ranchi at 2pm, while it will start from Pune at 10:55 a.m.
With the addition of this new flight, Birsa Munda International Airport will now have 28 flights every day in the post-covid period.
The airport authority said the girl flight (6E-112) departed from Lohegaon International Airport (Pune) and arrived here around 1:20 a.m.
with more than 140 passengers.
Flights again reached Pune at 4:30 p.m.
Speaking with Toi, Director of International Airport Birsa Munda Vinod Kumar Sharma said, “Our airport is connected to Pune with direct flight services operated by Indigo and the first flight arrived today with 143 passengers at 1:20 p.m.
Passengers are on a plane that is bound by Pune.
