Mumbai: Senior citizens who are physically challenged from Chandivli have been arrested for the murder of his wife in their homes on Sunday.
The woman, Kondabai Trimukhe (67), fell asleep in their one-room kitchen house when her husband, Shankar, who lost his feet five years ago, crawled towards him early and stabbed him repeatedly on his chest, stomach, and waist with a knife that had been confiscated by the police.
The elderly woman was hospitalized where she died on Wednesday.
The couple’s daughter witnessed the murder, police said.
The elderly man did not take care of health, an official said from the Powai police station.

Shankar was arrested in place.
His in-laws, who were also at home, woke up hearing the scream of the old woman, said police official, added that there were blood stains throughout the wall of the house.
