SRINAGAR: The People’s Alliance for the Gupkar Declaration (PAGD) on Monday expressed disappointment at the results of the meeting of all recent parties in J & K chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying that the lack of action to build self-confidence such as the release of political and other detainees , A statement issued here by a spokesman for the Alliance and CPI leader (M) M y Tarigam said PAGD met on Sunday night under the leadership of Farooq Abdullah – President of the National Conference (NC) – at his work.
The meeting was attended by the Alliance of Deputy Chairperson and President of PDP Mehbooba Mufti, Tarigami, Leader of NC Hasnain Masoodi, Head of the Peoples Movement Javed Mustafa Mir and Vice President of the Lay National Conference Muzaffar Ahmed Shah.
The meeting was called to discuss the recent meeting chaired by the Prime Minister in Delhi on June 24, the spokesman said.
All PGAM members expressed their disappointment on the results of Delhi’s meeting, especially in the absence of the steps to build substantial self-confidence (CBMS) such as releasing political and other prisoners from prison and took concrete steps to end the alleged “atmosphere of oppression” had suffocated JK Since 2019, said the spokesman.
He said the CBMS would initiate a very necessary process to reach the people of J & K “which is the largest stakeholder and the person with the problem of J & K”.
