New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Tuesday decided that a teacher rebuked students for the inexuscepting or bunking class would not reach suicide control if an emotional and sentimental student took extreme steps after being warned because it was a serious task of an instil teacher discipline in students.
Judge S Judge Abdul Nazeer and Krishna Murari canceled the criminal process against a private school teacher ordered for a reduction after class IX students died of suicide after being reprimanded for classes.
FIR was filed against the teacher because he had reprimanded students who also named him in a suicide note.
The bench, after checking the note, said the reading showed hypersensitive temperament from the deceased which made it take a step like that and which would not encourage the same students to commit suicide.
“This is a serious task of a teacher to instill discipline of science in students.
Not infrequently Teachers rebuke a student because they do not pay attention or not to be a sign in the study or for the classes of sleep or not attend school.
Disciplinary steps adopted by a teacher or Other authorities from the school, rebuke a student for his inquiry, in our opinion, will not be the same as provoking a student to commit suicide, unless there are specific accusations that are deliberately repeatedly without anything.

The court said a simple action to rebuke a student on his behavior or the non-discipline by a teacher, who was under the moral obligation to instill the good quality of humans in a student certainly did not amount to sacrifice or deliberately helped.
