Bhubaneswar: Candidates for various posts in the election of urban local agencies (ULB) that will come in the state must submit a written statement, along with nominated paper, revealing educational qualifications, assets, and education liabilities and awaiting criminal cases, if any.
The State Election Commission (SEC) has prepared a new format for the surrender of Affidavit, which will be issued for candidates, along with the form of nomination.
The nomination of a candidate will be rejected if it is not furnishings from Affidavit, officials say EVMS) in all booths.
Voters will choose Corporators or board members in one EVM, while other EVMs will be used to choose the mayor or chairman, officials added.
This problem, among others, was discussed during the meeting organized by representatives of various political parties.
Officials said the election of 110 civil bodies, including three city companies, which had been postponed about three years, will be held in two to three months.
“We have told representatives of political parties about various issues related to city polls, such as the use of two EVS, direct elections to post mayors and chairmen, preparation for the election limit and limit of expenses and others during the meeting,” said Sec Aditya Prasad Padhi after the meeting .
Leaders from various parties, who joined the meeting of all parties, urged the state poll panel to prepare a roll of error selection because the draft electoral roll (Ward Wise) was published in 110 civil bodies.
