MADURAI: MPURAI MP Su Venkatsan has written to Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman seeking actions against the officials of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) for discrimination in non-Hindi middle candidates who took Inter CMA exams on January 4 and 5.
He also saw withdrawal of punishment That threatens circling against students to broadcast their complaints on social media.
MP says that Hindi middle candidate has the option to answer questions in part B, C and D in the physical answer sheet by writing, while non-Hindi middle students must type the answer, as mentioned in official instructions for examination, making it more time-consuming for English middle students.
He had taken it with the ICAI authority before the examination was carried out, but it didn’t work.
“President Icai Raju Iyer replied to my letter about this which stated that Hindi and non-Hindi middle students had options for writing and typing answers and no discrimination.
But the answer was not in conscalance with reality and physical answer sheets not given to non-secondary students -Hindi in the test held on January 4 and 5, “Venkatsan said.
MP said that many students have expressed their sadness on social media by showing some other problems in their post.
“Meanwhile ICAI has issued a warning that students will be released for five years if they take discrimination problems against the public domain through social media.
It is very difficult and undemocratic,” he added to his letter to the United States Finance Minister.
“If a valuable solution is not visible even after the problem is taken by MP, what options are available for students besides drawing attention through social media? Instead of overcoming the problems of students, ICAI has chosen to threaten them with punishment steps,” Venkatsan added before Mark the demands for implementing corrective steps.
He urged to create an option for writing for non-Hindi media candidates and began actions against officials who had made mistakes that had not clarified President Icai in the exam at the beginning of this week.
He said ICAI had to attract a circular threatening penalty to air their complaints in public.
He demanded an investigation into all the problems submitted by students relating to the examination and making justice for them.
