Bengaluru: Jalan Ring Outer Road (ORR) from the Central Silk Board to Kr Puram has been decorated with a barricade that announces the start of Metro Namma’s work in the corridor.
While regular road users have experienced difficulties because the shrinking carriageways, Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) are trying to eliminate worries, say this inconvenience will not last long and work will be wrapped before the time limit of 2025.
According to BMRCL, the deadline for stretch orr (19.8km) is June 2025.
The corridor will be extended from Kr Puram to the International Airport and the 38.4km line is scheduled to be ready on September 2025.
However, BMRCL has not yet so that the Puram-KIA tender tender.
The preliminary work on the Corridor of Orr Metro Namma has begun, Metro officials confirm, adding they plan to complete the project without delay because the acquisition of land is complete.
BMRCL Managing Director Anjum Parwez said: “Barricades who are placed for metro work can reduce the width of the road and can increase traffic congestion in areas such as DeBur and Marthahalli, but we will finish the job as early as possible.” U-Girders to accelerate Workbmrcl Head Officers Public Relations BL Yhhwanth Chavan said: “The investigation of land and the work of the test pole is progressing between the central silk board and Kr Puram.
The airport channel tender will soon be resolved.

“For the first time, BMRCL will use U-Girders on OR to speed up the work.
“On the ORR-KIA route, U-Girders will be used by almost 80% of the length of the corridor.

About 8% will be below the road surface,” said an official.
“One U-Girder between the two pillars can be established overnight, against 5-6 days needed if a boxers occur,” he added.
At present, the bus priority lane operates between Kr Puram and the silk board on ORR.
