Dissent Brews in LJD State Unit over the Berth Cabinet

Written by news2in

Thiruvananthapuram: Loctantrik Janata Dal State Unit (LJD), led by MV Shreyams Kumar, is heading for divisions.
A group at a party led by his General Secretary Sheikh P Harris and V Surendran Pillai held a meeting in Thiruvananthapuram on Wednesday and presented the ultimatum that State President Shreyams Kumar had to resign from post before November 20.
There were no differences of opinion in the party, namely the Allies from the Democratic Democratic Government (LDF), which was brewed since the State Assembly election, has now deteriorated with representatives from four districts who demand their president’s resignation.
They also claimed support from MLA KP Mohanan and George’s national leader.
However, Shreyams Kumar, who is a single MP LJD at Rajya Sabha from the country, has refused to succumb, claiming that the party will receive a call to dispute.
“Rebels must face severe consequences.
The party will not allow any type of inadequacy.
The rebels do not have a majority at the party.
Of the 76 member committees, only nine members attended rebel meetings,” he said.
Shreyams Kumar has held a meeting of the Party State Committee on Saturdays where actions against rebels are likely to be taken.
However, the rebels led by two secretaries general alleged that was caused by Shreyams Kumar that the party did not get a cabinet bed when all the other constituents in LDF accepted it.
Mohanan was also annoyed on the fact that the party did not put pressure on a cabinet bed at the LDF meeting.
Dissors are also unhappy for posting companies and councils given to parties.
The dissidents are the view that Shreyam’s insistence on the Kalpetta constituency has swallowed the cost of the party sitting in the assembly poll.
LJD has opposed three chairs – winning from Kuthuparamba, where Mohanan scored a solitary victory, while it was lost in Kalpetta and Vadadara.
However, Shreyams said the party had claimed seven seats in the LDF meeting and Harris was also part of the discussion of sharing seats before the poll.
“There’s no point in trying to make a crack.
Last week, a meeting was held to solve the problem.
But Sheikh P Harris refused to come,” Shreyams Kumar said.
Rebels now plan to meet Supremo Sharad Party Yadav to demand Shreyams Ouster from the President’s post.
