Coimbatore: The trend of decreasing fresh covid cases continued in the district on Tuesday, when 206 people were tested positive for viruses, taking the case tally to 2,33,228, where 2,28,626 had recovered until now.
With 229 patients excluded from the treatment center that day, the district currently has 2,380 active Covid cases.
The district also reported three Covid deaths, pushing tolls to 2,222.
Tirupur neighbors, meanwhile, recorded 77 fresh Covid-19 cases and two deaths on that day, even when 88 patients were dismissed from the hospital and covid care center.
The district now has 891 active cases.
