Coimbatore: District recorded 223 fresh Covid-19 cases on Saturday, even when 197 patients were dismissed from various treatment centers.
While 2,32,527 people were tested positive for viruses in the district to date, 2,27,978 of them recovered.
At present, this district has 2,380 cases of active Covid.
Toll, meanwhile, rose to 2,217, with the country including five deaths that occurred in the district in the bulletin.
In neighboring Tirupur, 94 people were tested positive for viruses that day, taking calculation to 89,029, which was 87,224, including 76 patients being repatriated from various hospitals and covid care centers that day, had recovered.
There are 920 Covid cases active in Tirupur now.
Two deaths, meanwhile, took Covid victims in the district to 885.
