Thiruvananthapuram: The district reports the highest number of single cases ever, the highest daily test (TPR) and weekly TPR highest on Monday.
The daily TPR on Monday is 44.22%.
A total of 5,863 people were confirmed with Covid-19 on Monday.
The previous daily positive case before (4,560) was recorded on May 8, 2021 during the second wave.
TPR in the government and private sectors and all types of testing; Both RT-PCR and antigens are recorded above 40% in the district on Monday.
In the government sector, TPR of all types is 53.1% while for the private sector, reaching 42.7%.
The RT-PCR front level in the government sector is 53.8%.
Positive antigens in the private sector and government are 44.9% and 44.5% respectively.
The government sector records the highest level of participation even though the number of daily tests is not near the numbers being carried out during the second wave in this district.
Since the last week of December, testing the numbers in the government sector passed 10,000 only four times included on Monday when 13,260 tests were carried out.
High levels of participants are recorded in the government sector even though the number of tests is low in a precarious situation.
Quoted that the level of participants can be concerned that the level of alarming after testing in the government sector is increasing.
In the past seven days when TPR remained above 25% in the district, the government sector only contributed 20% of the total testing.
In the last 24 hours, testing in the government sector fell to 15%.
In the past seven days, the district recorded a weekly TPR 34.5% recorded 27,132 positive cases from 78,590 tests.
The TPR weekly in the government sector is 40.9%.
RT-PCR’s positivity in the government sector for last week was 43.5%.
On Monday, 146 antigen tests were carried out in the government sector which was 65 positive.
As on Sundays, TPR weekly in the district is the same as what is recorded during the second peak week; 31.6%.
During TPR in three local bodies have exceeded 50% in the district.
Malayanzhu and Vilavoorkal Panchayats have the highest weekly TPR of 53.4% and 53.3%.
Panovar Panchayat has recorded a weekly TPR 50.3%.
A total of 11 local bodies have weekly TPRs above 40%.
Elacamon Panchayat still has a local body that is alone with weekly TPR below 10% in the current district.
Only 18 samples were tested positively from 211 samples in Elacamon Panchayat in the past week.
