Phoolan Devi, who belongs to the Nishad community, was chosen by MP on the Samajwadi Party ticket from Mirzapur.
He was killed on July 25, 2001 outside his residence in Delhi.
Vikasheel Party Insaan, who is a partner in the Alliance of Decisions with Janata Dal (United) and BJP in neighboring Bihar, has announced to install the statues of the deceased Phoolan Devi in ​​18 districts where Nishads can play a major role in UPS 2022 assembly of polls.
To remember, on Friday, the Varanasi police had grabbed the Phoolan Devi statues after locals objected to the installation in the Nishad dominated region.
As many as 20 people, including 17 Thakurs, one Muslim, one Dalit and one owned OBC, was killed, while six others were injured by Phoolan and his aide on February 14, 1981 at Behmai at Kanpur Dayat.
The families of the victims were still waiting for justice who had avoided even 40 years after the massacre.
