Coimbatore: District recorded 338 fresh Covid-19 cases on Saturday, taking Case Tally to 2,24,744.
At 3.5%, the district recorded the fifth highest testing level in the state of the day.
With 378 patients issued from various treatment centers that day, active cases have been slightly dipped in 4.108, while the number of patients restored has jumped to 2.18,536.
Meanwhile, the Covid-19 toll road has increased by three to 2,100 in this district, which has 6,231 empty beds, including 513 ICU beds and 3,341 oxygen beds, on that day.
While the city limits contributed 42.12% of cases recorded in the past week, rural areas saw a small surge in this case.
Areas such as tulur, Thudiyalur and the caramadai contributed 6.84%, each 8.27% and 9.84% of the case, during the period.
The number of detention zones has dropped to 115 in the district.
From them, 65 detention zones are within city corporate limits.
Through tendrils and caramin have 10 containment zones, while the Madukkarai block has eight detention zones.
Valparai, Pollachi and Mettupalayam Municipalities do not have a single detention zone on Saturday.
