With 2,384 discarded on that day, the number of people undergoing treatment reached 26,178.
The district has reported 2.95,184 cases.
Koimbatore continues to register the highest level of participation – 27.8% – compared to other districts in the state.
The neighboring Tirupur district is second with 27.4% of the level of participation.

He coughed and fever for four days before hospitalization.
On Sunday, a 91-year-old man who was infected with the virus died in a private hospital.
He had difficulty breathing for seven days before he died.
Tirpur Reporterd District 1,490 new case on Tuesday.
The number of people under treatment stands at 7,935, with 864 people being repatriated on the same day.
Meanwhile, Coimbatore Corporation officials on Tuesday collected a total of 82,600 as a fine of people for violating Covid norms.
274 was ordered because it was not wearing a mask.
