Bhopal: Government officials on Friday saved five small brothers, who were found to beg for a village in the Bhind Madhya Pradesh district to survive.
They were allowed to fight for themselves after they lost their parents to Covid-19.
Local administration swung the action after Minister of Chief Shivraj Singh Chouhan intervened after their video was widely distributed on the social media platform.
The five children – three daughters and two boys – shifted to Sishu Grih (Rehabilitation Center for Children).
Bhind District collector Dr.
Satish Kumar S said that he knew about the fate of the children two days ago.
“We took immediate action.
The child’s welfare committee approached them and shifted them to Sishu Griha after approving their grandfather.
We will take care of them and will do what is needed in accordance with the legal recommendations of teenage justice,” he told TII.
Oddness of them is a seven-year-old girl and the youngest is a 10-month-old boy.
Others aged five, three and two years old, said the official.
The collector said that the children had lived in Uttar Pradesh with their parents.
Their father died in February, last year and mother passed next month.
Their aunt made them with her for some time above and then she left them at their grandfather’s house in Bhind.
“Their grandfather is too old to produce.
We have to take his approval to shift the children to rehabilitation.
Initially, he was not ready.
We have to advise him,” the collector said.
Administrative officers have been asked to prepare their documents.
Lahar Mla Govind Singh has also convinced all support to orphans.
